So I've been working on the second novel I wrote (for last year's NaNoWriMo) and preparing it for submission to agents/publishers as a result of the catalyst of *drum roll please* beta readers!
I set beta readers 1 and 2 on the work last week, with chapters 1-6. I gave them chapters 7-10 for this week.
So far so good I guess, they seem to like it. But I'm panicking just a little because it's not one-hundred percent complete; I still have some gaps to fill, research to do etc. and the readers are gaining on me!
That's one of the beauties of setting beta readers on it- they make you work faster!
I can actually see myself submitting this story to agents/publishers this month! Whoah nelly! What an exciting thought.
I'm an aspiring novelist. I've written a few books--mostly because of NaNoWriMo--but I've yet to be published. Only one of those novels is actually complete as in 'polished,' and it's currently being pimped to lit agents. In 2011, I worked on my short story production and wrote lots of new stories (18) but I'm back to working on novels in 2012. I hope to send at least 5 novels off to Query Land by January 2013.
